Johnny Knoxville has revealed that a new Jackass film is on the way, set for a June 2026 cinema release. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film, but further details remain under wraps.

Johnny Knoxville has set the rumour mill spinning by announcing that a fresh instalment of the Jackass franchise is officially in the works, with a release date pencilled in for June 26th, 2026. Taking to Instagram, Knoxville shared his excitement with fans, writing:

“Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!!”

The post left little doubt that the team is gearing up for another round of their signature chaos, though specifics remain closely guarded for now.

Paramount Pictures is set to oversee the film’s distribution, but beyond that, details are being kept firmly under wraps. Knoxville hinted that more information would be shared in due course, adding:

“More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first.”

For now, fans will have to content themselves with the knowledge that the Jackass crew are plotting their return to the big screen, with further announcements expected as production progresses.

Looking Back at Jackass Forever

The previous outing, Jackass Forever, hit cinemas in 2022 and proved a box office hit, raking in around $80 million globally and topping the US domestic charts. The film was met with a warm reception, with one reviewer noting:

“Without the restrictions of a pesky narrative arc or dialogue, the film is a laugh a minute, and that’s really no exaggeration. In my viewing at the IMAX, no less, the entire screening was bowled over by continuous guffaws.”

The review went on to describe the audience’s reaction:

“No matter the stunt, swathes of people were snorting with genuine joy, shrieking with abject horror or pushing their friend in confirmation of the hilarity they had just witnessed. In truth, it was a welcome relief.”

The film’s blend of slapstick and shock value clearly struck a chord with viewers, cementing its place as a crowd-pleaser.

Who’s In and Who’s Out?

As for the cast, there’s been no official word on who will be joining Knoxville for this latest adventure. The line-up remains a mystery, with speculation rife but nothing confirmed. One name unlikely to appear is Bam Margera, who was notably absent from the last film following a very public falling out with the team. Margera, reflecting on his exclusion, remarked in 2025:

“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it and I just, you couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them.”

His comments suggest the rift is far from healed, and fans shouldn’t expect a reunion any time soon.

With the release date now set and anticipation building, all eyes are on Knoxville and his crew as they prepare to unleash another round of mayhem. For now, the finer details remain a closely guarded secret, but the promise of more outrageous stunts and offbeat humour is enough to keep audiences counting down the days.
