How are Vicki and Zack related in EastEnders?
It's the question every EastEnders fan asked the moment Vicki Fowler and Zack Hudson locked lips: hang on — aren't those two related? Both of them call Sharon Watts their sister, after all. Here's the family maths, and it's cleaner than you'd think.
The short answer
No — Vicki and Zack are not related. Not by blood, not by marriage, not at all. They are both half-siblings of Sharon, but through completely different fathers, which means the only thing connecting them is Sharon herself.

- Vicki Fowler — daughter of Michelle Fowler and Den Watts, born on screen on 27 May 1986. Den was Sharon's adoptive father, which makes Vicki Sharon's adoptive half-sister.
- Zack Hudson — son of Gavin Sullivan, Sharon's biological father, making him Sharon's blood half-brother. He arrived in Walford in 2021.
- Sharon Watts — adopted as a baby by Den and Angie Watts. She links the pair without connecting them: one sibling from her adoptive family, one from her biological one.
So while a family gathering would be awkward, there's no genetic issue whatsoever. TVGuide.co.uk noted the overriding fan reaction was still "a big fat nope" — not helped by viewers pointing out Zack's passing resemblance to Mark, Vicki's actual half-brother.
History repeating
Walford has been here before. Sharon herself famously fell for Dennis Rickman — Den's biological son and therefore her adoptive brother — in the 2000s, another relationship that looked scandalous on paper but involved no shared blood. Vicki and Zack are running the exact same pattern one generation on.
The affair so far
The pair first kissed in November 2025 — and were promptly caught by Kathy — while Vicki was rebuilding things with boyfriend Ross Marshall in the aftermath of Joel's attack.
A night of passion followed in the episode broadcast on 27 January 2026, after Zack cooked her dinner to distract her from Joel's looming trial.
Since then Vicki has got engaged to Ross, the pair have kept sneaking around regardless, and a blackmailer who filmed one of their stolen kisses has started demanding cash with the wedding looming.
Sharon, for the record, has been in Florida for most of it. Her homecoming should be quite something.
