Heated Rivalry Star Eyes Christian Bale’s Iconic Villain Role
Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie reveals his ambition to take on a memorable villainous role made famous by Christian Bale, while his co-star sets his sights on a DC superhero. Discover their bold aspirations.
With the recent acclaim for Heated Rivalry, Connor Storrie, one of the series’ principal actors, has shared his desire to step into the shoes of a particularly striking antagonist from the Marvel universe. In a conversation with Variety, Storrie expressed a keen interest in portraying Gorr the God Butcher, a character previously brought to life by Christian Bale. He remarked:
I want to be bald. Remember that Christian Bale character [Gorr the God Butcher] in that “Thor” movie where he was completely painted grey, and he had black teeth, and he was bald? Give me something weird like that.
Although the opportunity to play this Marvel villain may have passed, Storrie’s career is still in its early days, leaving the door open for future roles of a similar nature. Meanwhile, another member of the Heated Rivalry cast has his own ambitions within the world of comic book adaptations.
Hudson Williams Sets His Sights on DC’s Nightwing
Following the successful debut of Heated Rivalry and its renewal for a second series, Hudson Williams, who stars alongside Storrie, has hinted at his own superhero aspirations. In a recent Instagram story, Williams was seen holding a copy of Nightwing: Year One and tagged DC Studios’ co-CEO, James Gunn, inviting him for a coffee. This playful gesture made it clear that Williams is eager to take on the role of Nightwing in the DC Universe, particularly in the forthcoming Brave and the Bold project, which is currently in development. With the Bat family expected to feature prominently, Nightwing’s inclusion seems all but essential, and Williams’ campaign for the part may yet bear fruit.
Potential Villainous Roles for Storrie in the MCU
Storrie has already demonstrated his capacity for darker roles, having appeared as an inmate in the closing moments of Joker: Folie à Deux. This performance suggests he could convincingly embody a villain in either the Marvel or DC cinematic universes. One possibility is Harry Osborn, also known as The Green Goblin, in a future Marvel production. Storrie’s ability to convey emotional complexity would suit a character who gradually descends into instability and madness.
Another intriguing option would be The Maker, a younger, more calculating version of Reed Richards, following the events of Secret Wars. The Maker’s cold, logical approach and emotional detachment would align well with Storrie’s previous work, making him a strong candidate for such a role should Marvel Studios seek a fresh antagonist.
