Avengers: Doomsday’s Florence Pugh has named the MCU co-star she had the most fun working with — go on, have a guess.

So, Marvel fans might want to brace themselves, because Avengers: Doomsday is lining up to be a bit of a mad one—even by MCU standards. Florence Pugh has let slip who she's really enjoyed mucking about with on set, and it's not quite who you might expect. This all came out on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she was pitted with the classic question: who’s the more fun co-star, out of everyone from her recent Marvel outings or her big Dune: Part Three gig?

When Fallon pressed her, Pugh replied straightaway that it was Channing Tatum on Avengers: Doomsday, adding: 'He’s so fun!'

You read that right—the man who, for years, seemed destined to play Gambit in some X-Men spin-off that never actually happened, is now finally swooping around the Marvel Cinematic Universe at last. Tatum landed the role in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, and clearly, he’s become enough of a fixture to mix it up on the Doomsday set, too.

Surprise Team-Ups and Returning Legends

For anyone keeping score, Pugh is back as Yelena Belova—the current Black Widow, if you haven't been paying attention since 2021’s Black Widow. She’s earned a bit of a fan-following, particularly thanks to her lively banter with Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and the ever-awkward Tom Holland as Spider-Man. Now, with Tatum confirmed as Marvel’s Gambit (finally), expect that dynamic to shake things up further.
