Curious about what unfolds after the credits roll in Five Nights at Freddy's 2? Two intriguing scenes hint at dark secrets and possible future instalments. Find out what you might have missed.

Fans of the much-discussed horror franchise will be pleased to know that the second instalment offers more than just a chilling main story. Once the credits begin to roll, the film delivers not one, but two additional scenes that set the stage for what could come next. These moments are easy to miss, but they’re packed with hints and unsettling revelations.

Mid-Credits Discovery: Springtrap Unveiled

During the first of these scenes, which appears midway through the credits, three men are seen sneaking into the original pizzeria from the debut film. Their aim is to salvage props for a haunted attraction themed around the infamous Fazbear establishment. As they rummage through the abandoned site, one of them remarks that demolition is scheduled for the following day, so they must act quickly. Suddenly, a shout from the third man draws the others to a concealed room. There, they come face to face with the Springtrap animatronic, a suit notorious for its grisly history.

One of the group comments on the foul odour emanating from the suit, unaware that it still contains the decaying remains of William Afton, who met his end inside it at the conclusion of the previous film. The hidden chamber had served as a prison for Afton, kept at bay by the spirits of the children he wronged. However, with those spirits now released, the room is no longer sealed. The men, oblivious to the danger, cover Springtrap with plastic, preparing to remove it for their haunted house. With Afton’s body and spirit now unconfined, the potential for further chaos is left hanging in the air.

Final Audio Tease: A Haunting Voicemail

As the last of the credits fade, viewers are treated to a final, audio-only moment. A voicemail from Henry Emily, voiced by Skeet Ulrich, is left for Mike. In this message, Henry admits to having once been Afton’s business partner and confesses his involvement in the creation of the animatronics. He reveals that his daughter, Charlotte, who fell victim to Afton years before, is now seeking vengeance. She continues to use the Marionette puppet as her instrument of retribution, targeting anyone she deems responsible.

Right at the end of the call, we hear the Marionette break into Henry's house, where she no doubt murders her father for his hand in creating Fazbear.

This chilling audio snippet suggests that Henry’s past has finally caught up with him, and the cycle of revenge is far from over.

Hints at What’s Next

Both post-credits moments strongly imply that the story is far from finished. The release of Springtrap and the Marionette’s ongoing quest for vengeance leave the door wide open for another chapter. While there has been no official word on a third film, these scenes certainly lay the groundwork for future developments. For now, audiences can only speculate about what horrors might be unleashed next.
