Finally some good news on Agatha Harkness’ MCU comeback — straight from Kathryn Hahn

If you've been missing Agatha Harkness skulking about the MCU, you're not alone. Fans have been chattering away about whether Kathryn Hahn might don the cape again after her scene-stealing turns in WandaVision and her own spin-off, Agatha All Along. Now, Hahn herself has chimed in, and while she's not making any grand promises, she's hardly closing the door.

During an interview at D23, Kathryn Hahn kept it hopeful for Agatha loyalists: "I mean, I want to. I have no idea, but I sure would love it."

Not much to go on, but at least she isn't out and out ruling out a return. The obvious enthusiasm doesn't hurt, either, considering Marvel has a habit of keeping things well under wraps until the last second.

Where Agatha Left Off

If you bailed out before the end of Agatha's recent adventures, she wrapped up Agatha All Along with a proper set-up for more magic mischief. By the finale, Agatha and Billy Maximoff were heading off in search of Billy's brother, Tommy. It's certainly the sort of ending that could launch another series or at least justify cameos down the line. Since the finale, though, Agatha's kept a low profile as far as the MCU proper goes – no appearances in any live-action Marvel projects since then.

Agatha All Along finished with Agatha teaming up with Billy Maximoff to hunt down his brother, Tommy.

Hahn's Other Projects

For those unfamiliar, Hahn is hardly short of jobs these days. Beyond Agatha, she voiced Dr. Olivia Octavius (yep, a variant Doc Ock) in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Movie-wise, she's put in time on Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and a comedy titled Fixed (not a particularly catchy title, but there we are).

• Her other major role lately has been Maya Mason, head of marketing at Continental Studios in Apple TV's The Studio. That one's back for season 2, and Hahn is expected to return.
• In the more immediate future, she's on the release slate for Madden just later this year.
• Looking further ahead – much further – she's signed on as Mother Gothel in the live-action Tangled remake, not due until 2028.

The Next Stage for WandaVision

On the Marvel side, there's another layer worth flagging up: VisionQuest, the so-called "third chapter" to the WandaVision arc, is scheduled for release before the year's out. The show is focused on White Vision discovering more about his identity (which, let's be honest, is overdue), and there's talk of him potentially reuniting with a son. However, there's no official sign yet that either Agatha or Wanda will be showing up. Marvel’s lips remain zipped on that subject for now.
