Done waiting for Emily in Paris? Season 6 final chapter dated (and it's perfect)

Well, Emily in Paris is finally wrapping things up. After years of drama, questionable French, and a relentless parade of berets, Season 6 will be the last hurrah for everyone’s favourite marketing expat. Netflix has just confirmed the release date, and, in typical Emily fashion, it’s going out on a rather showy note.

Emily in Paris bows out on Netflix on 24 December, making this the streamer’s Christmas Eve crowd-pleaser for 2026.

Season 6: The Final Fling

If you’ve somehow managed to miss all the build-up, Lily Collins is back once more as Emily, gallivanting not just around Paris but venturing out to both Greece and Monaco this season. Clearly, the Eurostar wasn’t enough for Darren Star and his extravagantly dressed creation – now she’s ticking the full continent off the Instagram map.

This last series promises the usual blend of professional chaos and romantic nonsense. According to the official story summary, Emily’s thrown straight into a new round of pivotal career choices and tangled relationships. It all boils down to her having to pick between her career, her emotionally knotted love life, and the Parisian fantasy she’s constructed over six seasons.

First Look: Bit of a Continental Shift

Netflix have rolled out a raft of first-look photos. If you want a taste of what’s coming, here’s what you’ll spot:

• Emily and Mindy (Ashley Park) sharing a moment on a park bench – hand-holding, so expect big feelings
• Mindy and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) seemingly in the middle of a heated exchange
• Emily herself, dressed head-to-toe in a red-and-white creation, playing tourist somewhere coastal – presumably Greece
• Minnie Driver pops up as Princess Jane, in case this show wasn’t already posh enough
• Paul Forman as Nicolas de Léon hanging round in what looks like the world’s fanciest hotel lobby
• Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) surrounded by her signature aura of sangfroid
• The return of Luc (Bruno Gouery) and Julien (Samuel Arnold), seen brooding over who-knows-what at a suitably Parisian table
• And naturally, Emily cramming in a selfie in front of the architecture, presumably for all those brand collabs

The creator, Darren Star, has even weighed in on his ambitions to end things with a bang:

I wanted the final season to feel like the biggest Emily in Paris experience yet.
