Done waiting for Catherine Zeta-Jones’ John Wick-style TV show? Release date is set
Catherine Zeta-Jones’ John Wick‑like thriller Kill Jackie is set for an AMC+ launch with weekly episodes — and there’s a date to pencil in.
If you've been waiting for Catherine Zeta-Jones to get her own headline-grabbing, high-octane lead on telly again, you'll want to pay attention. Her next TV outing, Kill Jackie, has finally locked in a release date—and there's quite a bit to unpack beyond just the 'revenge thriller' label.
Kill Jackie premieres exclusively on AMC+ on 2 October 2026, with fresh episodes dropping weekly.
Cocaine, High Art and Contract Killers
Kill Jackie revolves around Zeta-Jones as Jackie Price, who's apparently spent the last twenty years transitioning from international cocaine kingpin to globe-trotting fine art dealer—very Ocean's Eight with a midlife crisis twist. She's living the good life (or at least good enough) until The Seven Demons—yes, proper comic book villain name—are hired to assassinate her. Jackie reckons the contract's come from her own shady past, so she dusts off her old criminal skillset to finish the hit squad before they can get to her, one hired gun at a time.
Daniel Ings gets second billing, joined by Sidse Babett Knudsen, Óscar Jaenada, and Hattie Hook. The supporting cast is packed: Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt… then there's Karlis Arnolds Avots, Set Sjöstrand, Tadashi Ito, Sebastian Armesto, Julian Barratt, Gavin Spokes, Jonathan Cake, Bamshad Abedi-Amin, Bill Paterson, and even Ron Perlman. Yes, that's quite the lot for just eight episodes, but you know the drill with this type of show—half of them probably won't survive the opening credits.
Who's Pulling the Strings?
The series is adapted from The Price You Pay, a novel by Nick Harkaway (you might spot it under his pen name, Aidan Truhen). They're not shy about their pedigree here: Damon Thomas—best known for Killing Eve—is lead director and also exec producing with Zeta-Jones herself, while Tom Butterworth (Gangs of London) writes and showruns. Conor Keane chips in as co-writer and associate producer. Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures are producing, with a small squadron of producers in addition to the big names on camera and behind it.
Americans will get Kill Jackie on AMC+ from 2 October 2026, with international Prime Video viewers picking it up in select territories. If you've found yourself wishing someone would do a mash-up of John Wick and an art auction catalogue, get your diary out.
