Nearly two years after its cancellation, Chucky may be sharpening the knives again: fresh remarks from Fiona Dourif hint at behind-the-scenes movement on a potential season 4, stoking buzz despite no official green light.

So, just when you thought the 'Chucky' TV franchise had finally been shoved into a broom closet (along with most of the plastic body parts), here comes a curveball: the cast is out here dropping hints that Season 4 might not be as dead as everyone thought. Yes, despite being officially canceled nearly two years ago, it sounds like the killer doll and his assorted frenemies are lurking quietly in the shadows.

People Can’t Seem to Leave This Franchise Alone

Let’s rewind for a second. No new 'Chucky' has been announced. Nobody’s making any grand press releases, and the studio isn't selling Season 4 Funko Pops yet. But Fiona Dourif—who at this point has probably done more for the 'Child’s Play' universe than most actual toys—has started stoking the fire. In a chat with Collider, she made it clear she’s not done with the franchise and honestly, I can't blame her. These movies and shows are ridiculous, but always weirdly fun to watch.

'Let me be involved in the Child's Play franchise for the rest of my long life,' Dourif said. She also tossed out a pretty suspicious, 'You know what? I know it also. Dot, dot, dot!' (If you're picking up what she's putting down, so am I.)

Dourif even broke down why her character, Nica, continues to be worth watching: as she put it, Nica has been put through every kind of trauma imaginable—lost her family, got locked up, suffered physical hell, and yet she’s still standing. Or at least still crawling around. Dourif calls her 'a sexualized, smart, gritty, final girl.' If there’s anyone who can keep a show alive after cancellation, it’s probably her.

Not Just Fiona—Jennifer Tilly Is Dropping Hints Too

In case you think it’s just Fiona being optimistic, you should know Jennifer Tilly (aka Tiffany) has been saying similar things. Not long ago, she said—pretty bluntly—that while the TV series ended, there’s 'more Chucky and Tiffany in the works.' Tilly literally called them 'the gruesome twosome.' Classic.

  • Official season 4 announcement? Nope, not yet.
  • Fiona Dourif wants to be in more 'Chucky'? Absolutely, and she’s hinting that there’s something going on behind the scenes.
  • Jennifer Tilly backing her up? 100%—she’s expecting more adventure for the killer couple.

So what does this all add up to? Well, at the very least, it’s a signal that somebody’s having conversations about resurrecting 'Chucky', even if nobody’s ready (or allowed) to make anything official. If you’re a fan of pint-sized mayhem and final girls who don’t know when to quit, you might want to keep your ear to the ground. Because apparently, you can’t keep a good doll—or a cult horror franchise—down for long.
