April Exodus: Every TV Show Leaving Netflix — Including All Five Seasons of a Fan-Favorite Vampire Series
Netflix’s April 2026 purge yanks dozens of shows — including all five seasons of a hit vampire series — as licensing clocks run out and originals and licensed favorites depart for rival platforms.
Well, here we go again: Netflix is giving its lineup another spring cleaning, and—brace yourself—some familiar faces are heading to the exit doors in April 2026. If you had plans to finally binge through that last season of a certain vampire show, or you were hoping your kids would be distracted by 'Fairly OddParents' for a few more months, this might sting.
So why is this happening? Long story short, pretty much everything on streaming these days is on a countdown clock. Licensing deals with third-party studios only last so long, and even Netflix Originals apparently aren’t immune to ‘Bye, Felicia’ energy once that clock runs out. Some of these shows might show up on other platforms, or even come crawling back to Netflix if the licensing gods allow. No official word yet, so if you’re feeling sentimental, don’t bank on anything.
Here’s the full rundown of what’s disappearing, with dates (so you can plan your viewing sessions like it's Y2K again):
- Wednesday, April 1: 'Magical Andes' (Seasons 1–2) — this one’s a Netflix Original, and yes, that means even Netflix's ‘own’ stuff can vanish. Also, 'Supertato' (2025 version) is out.
- Thursday, April 2: 'Pedro el escamoso' (the 2001 telenovela for anyone feeling nostalgic).
- Friday, April 3: 'Justin Time' (Seasons 1 and 2) — a kids’ cartoon with a title that’s now deeply ironic.
- Monday, April 6: 'Sirius The Jaeger' (Season 1) — yes, another Netflix Original waving goodbye.
- Tuesday, April 7: 'Queen of the South' (Seasons 1–5) — so if you want to catch up on your cartel drama, set aside some time for a marathon.
- Wednesday, April 15: 'The Fairly OddParents' (Seasons 4–5) — not the whole run, just the latter chunk, but still a loss for 2000s Nickelodeon fans (or parents trying to relive Saturday mornings).
- Thursday, April 16: 'Power Players' (Season 1), and—here’s a big one—'Van Helsing' (Seasons 1–5), so if campy vampire action is your thing, start that watchlist now.
- Friday, April 17: 'Black Sails' (Seasons 1–4) — all episodes are jumping ship, so say goodbye to your pirate fix.
In terms of big names heading to the chopping block, 'Van Helsing' (yes, all five seasons), 'Black Sails' (all four stormy, plundering seasons), and those later 'Fairly OddParents' outings stand out. Also worth pointing out: both 'Magical Andes' and 'Sirius The Jaeger' are supposed to be Netflix’s ‘originals’, and yet… here we are.
In case you’re wondering where some of these shows will end up after April — your guess is as good as mine. Nothing official yet. Maybe they’ll resurface elsewhere, maybe they’ll be back at a later date, or maybe this is it. Such is life in the streaming age: nothing is sacred, not even stuff with the Netflix logo stamped all over it.
'Subscribers have only a limited number of days to check out at least one title, if not all, before their scheduled departure.'
So, check your watchlist, and if anything on that list makes you go 'oh shoot, I meant to watch that', better get on it before it’s replaced by another true-crime doc or yet another season of 'The Circle'.
